How we choose our booze
Probably the worst part of the job…
…is being sent wine bottle after beer bottle and having to try them. No, seriously, it’s not all glamourous meetings at producers’ houses, swigging their finest blends over long boozey lunches overlooking hectares of vineyards.
To use the old cliché, we are passionate about the drinks industry. We keep our ears to the ground, read the latest news, keep an eye on trends, and listen to what our customers ask for.
When selecting our wines, we stick to some key principles:
1 – We don’t work with A***holes. We like to build lasting relationships with our producers. Bad people are bad for business.
2 – Wines must be good value for money. That doesn’t mean we don’t have expensive wine on our books, but we don’t want to rip our customers off any more than we want to be ripped off ourselves.
3 – Our slogan is revolutionary drinking. We want our customers to get as excited about booze as we do. So even if you don’t know a thing about it, we still hope to get your juices flowing.
